BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Our Mission
The Expressway Authority is committed to
meeting the transportation needs of Orange County and we seek
to improve the quality of life for those who live in Central
Florida. It is our policy to provide small and local minority
businesses, or M/WBE's, with equal opportunity to participate
in the Authority's procurement and contracting services
Our Commitment
In order to further stimulate the local
economy, it is our intent to assist qualified M/WBE's with
several processes; first, to bid as prime contractors; second,
to joint venture when necessary with other established non-minority
and minority contractors, and thirdly, to bid as subcontractors.
It is the Authority's policy to encourage equal employment
opportunities for minorities and women in the workforce. This
policy is a requirement on all Authority contracts for construction,
maintenance, and consulting services. The Authority is committed
to meet these objectives through measures that are financially
responsible, as well as consistent with growth management
and environmental concerns.
Future Plans And Opportunities
As Central Florida grows, so do the responsibilities
