ASSISTANT GENERAL COUNSEL

The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to serve in its in-house Legal Department. This position reports to the Authority's General Counsel and will be responsible for providing legal advice and written opinions to agency personnel and the governing Board. The minimum experience preferred for this position is two years as a licensed attorney in good standing with the Florida Bar and experience in local government matters. Candidates must possess excellent research and writing skills, and must be proficient with Word and Lexis. Proof of degree from an accredited law school, Florida Bar Membership and valid Florida Driver's License will be required upon hire. WEB DEVELOPER

The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA) is currently seeking applicants for a Web Developer. This position will serve as the Authority’s Web Developer and will report to the Manager of Public Relations and Communications. The Web Developer will be responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, and maintaining the Authority’s corporate internet and intranet websites.

Principal duties include the following areas:

  • Maintain and update existing website structure and content.
  • Develop new web applications and coordinate website development efforts.
  • Review content and functionality created by vendors, contributors, and other developers to assure that all submitted material is error-free, timely and of the highest quality possible.
  • Gather and organize requirements and information by actively interacting with the appropriate parties in the development of website content and services.
  • Monitor site traffic and maintain the site’s capacity at a level that meets traffic demands with optimal performance and high availability.
  • Provide for appropriate security controls for website protection.

Qualifications include excellent computer/internet technology skills and at least four years of professional experience in website and or internet application development. Must have a demonstrated knowledge of developing websites with ASP.NET, C#, SQL, HTML/XHTML, ASP, CSS, XML, PHP, PERL, or JavaScript. Requires work experience in an ASP.NET C# environment and multi-language websites. Demonstrated proficiency in page layout and graphic design concepts is necessary. Also, must be familiar with Visual Studios and one or more of the following applications: Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Acrobat. Requires excellent communication skills. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology is preferred or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience may be considered.
