(APOPKA, FL) – The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority will open a new ramp that will provide direct access between northbound State Road 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway) and State Road 414 (John Land Apopka Expressway) the night of Sunday, May 13, 2012. Also, those driving west on SR 414 will be able to get directly onto southbound SR 429.
The opening of the new ramps mark a major step toward completing a new full interchange between SR 429 and SR 414. Currently, motorists traveling between SR 414 and SR 429 must exit the expressway system at County Road 437A (Ocoee-Apopka Road). The new ramps eliminate that inconvenience and allow for better, safer and faster travel between these two expressways.
With this change, motorists in the area of Binion Road and CR 437A should take Keene Road east to access SR 414. Motorists heading west on SR 414 should exit at Keene Road to access CR 437A. New ramps are under construction to connect CR 437A with SR 429 and SR 414. Those ramps are expected to be completed by December 2012.
